Dirty Spanners is a restoration project tracking application designed to help users record and manage vehicle restoration and rebuilding projects.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Dirty Spanners.

Information stored by Dirty Spanners

Dirty Spanners allows you to enter and store information relating to your restoration projects. This may include vehicle details, jobs and work records, parts and suppliers, costs and expenses, notes and milestones, photographs, receipts, invoices, PDFs and other documents you choose to add.

This information is stored locally on your device as part of the application's data.

Accounts and personal information

Dirty Spanners does not require you to create an account or sign in to use the application.

Dirty Spanners does not operate its own online user-account or cloud-storage service for your restoration projects.

Photographs, camera and files

Dirty Spanners may request permission to use features of your device when you choose to use relevant functions.

For example, camera or photo access may be used when you choose to photograph or add restoration images, receipts or other documents. File access may be used when you choose to add documents or create or restore a backup.

These features are used to provide functionality that you initiate within the application.

Backup and Restore

Dirty Spanners includes a Backup & Restore feature.

When you create a backup, the application creates a backup containing your restoration project information and supported photographs and documents. You control where that backup is subsequently stored or shared using the options available on your device.

If you choose to store a backup with a third-party storage or cloud service, that service's own privacy practices and terms apply.

Restoration Reports and PDFs

Dirty Spanners can create a Restoration Report from information contained within your project.

When you choose to create or save a PDF, your device's printing or document-saving facilities may be used. You control where the resulting document is printed, saved or subsequently shared.

Data transmission

Dirty Spanners is designed as a local-first application. Restoration project information is stored locally on your device rather than being uploaded to a Dirty Spanners cloud service.

Dirty Spanners does not require your restoration information to be transmitted to us in order to provide its core project-tracking functionality.

Advertising and tracking

Dirty Spanners does not contain third-party advertising.

Dirty Spanners does not use restoration project information to provide personalised advertising.

Data retention and deletion

Your restoration information remains on your device until you edit or delete it, remove application data, uninstall the application, or otherwise remove it through your device.

Backup files that you create are under your control and must be deleted separately from wherever you chose to store them.

Children's privacy

Dirty Spanners is not specifically designed for children and is intended as a vehicle restoration and project-management application.

Security

Dirty Spanners uses the storage facilities provided by your device to store application information locally.

No method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for protecting access to your device and for keeping any backup copies you create in a secure location.

Third-party services

Some actions initiated through Dirty Spanners may use services provided by your device or applications you have installed, such as document pickers, printing facilities, file-sharing options or cloud-storage applications.

Information you deliberately send to another service is subject to that service's own privacy policy.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when Dirty Spanners changes or when legal or platform requirements change.
